EDUCATION

BComm from Athabasca University
CPA, CGA

Lauren has been an integral part of the Parker Prins Lebano team over the past twenty-plus years. In 2001, the firm’s managing partner was teaching accounting at Algonquin College on a part- time basis and recognized her as a top student who was dedicated to her studies and displayed exceptional promise as an accountant. She was immediately hand-picked directly out of her business administration – accounting program and rapidly ascended the ladder from staff accountant to her promotion to Manager in 2011. Lauren has been a key staff member on assurance files, working with an array of clients and gaining valuable experience and knowledge in accounting, assurance and tax along the way. Lauren graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Athabasca University in 2010 while completing challenging CGA courses, working full-time and raising a young family. She obtained her Certified General Accountant designation in 2011.

While her role as a Manager allowed her to move into planning, overseeing and reviewing file work before becoming a Partner in 2021, Lauren’s impressive assurance and personal and corporate tax foundations have allowed her to thoroughly understand the intricacies involved in all aspects of the various engagements she handles. This knowledge set has proven to be invaluable to the firm’s other accountants as they draw on Lauren’s experience in completing files professionally and efficiently. Lauren consistently demonstrates a “no nonsense” approach to her work and can handle situations from the usual to the extremely complex.

Lauren resides with her husband and two young sons in Spencerville and commutes to the Ottawa office on a daily basis. Although her free time can be scarce juggling the schedules of two young boys at home, Lauren still finds time to unwind with a good book, swimming or just spending quality time with the family. Recently Lauren found a new passion when she and her husband purchased a working sugar bush in the Ottawa Valley.
