A.J. has been employed with Parker Prins Lebano since September 2010 while still a student at the University of Ottawa. In 2011 A.J. graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Specialization in Accounting. A.J.’s passion for accounting, tax, and working with small business owners, professionals, self-employed individuals and audit clients lead him to further his education through the CA program. In December 2014 A.J. successfully completed the UFE exams and obtained his Chartered Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant designation. A.J. is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and holds a Public Accounting License.
At a very young age A.J. started his accounting journey in private industry in an accountant role. Over the course of seven years in private industry he took on the necessary responsibilities in order to help run the entire accounting function for three separate companies. This experience included the day-to-day data entry and payroll administration, month and year-end closes, annual sales audits, and even the purchase and acquisition of a fourth business in the entertainment industry. This foundation has provided A.J. with the skills, expertise and experience to understand several of our client’s day-to-day internal accounting functions. Now, having worked many years in public accounting, A.J. has expanded his accounting knowledge and has a wealth of exposure and experience in such areas as corporate and personal tax and audit. A.J. is highly involved in all aspects of client service activities within Parker Prins Lebano and has always been a “go-to” individual for the firm when it comes to troubleshooting client’s internal accounting functions given his unique experience on both sides of the equation.
A.J. is a devoted husband to his wife and high school sweetheart, Erica, and a proud father of two beautiful daughters. During his spare time, he can be found in various hockey rinks volunteering as a hockey coach for his daughters teams, and is an avid golfer and also enjoys hockey and soccer. He also enjoys travelling with his wife and daughters and spending time with friends and family.
